Dali Health School has 57-year experience in teaching &management with rigorous teaching and study styles. There is a united pragmatic, efficient, innovative, vibrant leadership team and a high-quality staff. The school has more than 190 teachers and workers. There are 52 senior lecturers and vice-direct doctors, doctors, 46 instructor lectures, the attending physicians and experimental workers. There are two teachers gained the national excellent teachers, and one teacher obtained province excellent teacher. Besides, three teachers have had the discipline leaders of Yunnan Province. Teaching resource and teaching quality are the best in our province. In 2007, the nursing attended the graduation test of all vocational health schools in Yunnan province and gained excellent achievements of the first award, four first item. In 2009, our students took part in Health Vocational School’s nursing practical skills competition, which organized by the Education Department, students won several awards in province and state.
大理卫生学校占地面积135亩，建筑面积近7万多平方米。学校拥有分别属于普通学科、基础学科、临床学科共14个科类实验室，为教学及学生实践提供了良好条件。学校开通了远程教育网，设立了生物信号采集系统、闭路电视双控教学等系统，实现了教学手段的现代化，学校图书馆藏书近十五万册。在大理州委、政府的关心下，学校于2006年8约搬迁至大理市人民南路新校区，校园占地面积扩大，学校及后勤服务设施将更加完善，学生学习、生活环境得到改善，为学校开展丰富多彩的校园文娱体育活动创造了更加良好的条件。学校综合门诊部是学校开展临床、科研和教学的实习基地。特别是2008年投资500万元建成的“国家级护理实作实训基地”被教育部、卫生部评定为西南5省区职业院校一流的实作实训基地，被云南省教育厅、卫生厅评定为全省职业院校实作实训基地建设示范单位。学校还有省、州36个医院的教学实习基地，为培养动手能力强的实用型卫生技术人才奠定了基础。
Dali Health School has a area of 135 hectares, building areas of nearly 70,000 square meters. The school has 14 laboratories which belong to general subjects, basic science and clinical disciplines subjects for teaching. Our school opened a distance education network, set up a bio-signal acquisition system, closed-circuit television teaching system of dual control adoption the modern teaching methods. School has nearly 150,000 library books. On August 2006 the school moved to a new campus on South Renmin road. The campus covers an area of expansion, teaching, and logistics services become better. 大理卫生学校先后开办过护理、中医、助产、社区医学、妇幼卫生、预防医学、计划生育、血防、民族医士、乡村医士、卫生保健等十几个专业。在搞好中等职业教育的基础上，学校根据社会需求，采取多渠道、多形式的办学模式，与大理学院、云南中医学院、中南大学、郑州大学、上海交通大学医学院等联合开办护理学、中西医临床医学、临床医学等专业国民教育系列成人大学专科、本科层次教育，充分发挥了学校的办学潜能，为毕业生的进一步深造提供了良好的条件。目前，为适应社会的发展要求和广大考生的需求，大理卫校与大理学院、云南中医学院、云南医学高等专科学校校后联合招收初中毕业五年一贯制医学大专班，设有临床医学、中医学、中西医临床医学、社区医学及护理学等专业，各类在校学生共计6000多人。
